Supporting Creativity & Community in Cornwall
At Cornish Coffee, we believe in giving back to the community that has supported us for over 40 years. As a proud Cornish business, we’re passionate about supporting local talent, creativity, and collaboration – whether through education, arts, or sustainability initiatives.
One of our recent projects was a creative partnership with photography students from Truro College, offering them real-world experience while celebrating Cornwall’s deep influence on our brand.

Photography Collaboration with Truro College
When Truro College’s photography lecturer, Selina Way, reached out about a project, we knew we wanted to do more than just provide a brief, we wanted to bring the students into the world of Cornish Coffee.
Each year, Level 3 second-year students are given a client brief to work on. After spotting our newly designed coffee bags, they wanted to explore how Cornwall inspired our branding, our coffee, and our community connections. Instead of simply sending materials to the college, we invited the students to our roastery for a full day of hands-on experience.
During their visit, the students had the chance to:
Learn about coffee roasting
Understanding the process from bean to cup and seeing how Cornwall influences our approach to coffee.
Explore our brand identity
Discovering how we use Cornwall’s landscape, heritage, and community as inspiration for our new designs.
Engage with the client brief
Asking in-depth questions about our vision and how to capture lifestyle imagery that tells a compelling story.
Try their hand at barista skills
Experiencing hands-on coffee-making to better understand the essence of the product they were photographing.
The collaboration didn’t stop there. Inspired by the talent and creativity of the students, we have since invited several local photographers to continue working with us, featuring their work across social media, advertising, and future marketing campaigns.
